I have fibula fracture the pons is not separated but slightly (on to two mm)slides. both sides of the fracture are close together.i could move on my leg after the accident with medium pain. the specialized doctor diagnostic show that it does not require surgery, and plaster is but around ankle and up my leg. how much time i need to recover. and can i but weight on my foot

Hi,

Fractures generally take 6-8 weeks to heal. The doctor may take x-rays to see if the gap has closed before deciding to take you out of the cast. As to how quickly you will be able to put weight on the ankle, it will depend on now quickly the gap closes. Again, 6-8 weeks is normal. Because the fibula is not a weight bearing bone you can generally put weight on it fairly soon after the gap has closed.

Hope this helps!

Actually after the first week x-ray, we found that the gap and the slight displacement disappear. the fractured pone are aligned and closed to each other again. the doctor said this is good news. i finished now 4th week i do not feel pain but some etching. when can i remove the cast.

What great news! Sounds like you are right on track for a 6-8 week recovery. Congrats!
