Doing well

I am in the 3rd week after my total knee replacement and I already have less pain walking than before my surgery. I had osteonecrosis and severe arthritis. I worked hard the months before my surgery strengthening my quads and hamstrings. I went into this knowing hard work would be needed to get my knee back to where I can function without pain. I do my exercises 3 times a day and stretch during commercials when watching tv, or at the end of a chapter when reading. I have 125 degree bend and have 10 degrees to go to straighten my leg. I have minimal pain and swelling. I drink lots of water and am on a low salt diet. I do believe the preparation before as well as my exercises now have much to to with how well I am doing now. I think you need to go into this surgery realistically and ready to work.
